Concept
For this collaboration with studio hoegl borowski, we created a video for their unique stool, which features a twisting shape reminiscent of black licorice. Rather than depicting a standard industrial manufacturing process, we developed a fictional narrative that reimagines the production line as a whimsical confectionery factory.
The video adopts a childish, dreamlike aesthetic where the furniture is treated like a sweet treat being crafted. By focusing on "sweet production" imagery, such as bubbling liquid, dream factory colors, and playful machinery, we highlight the form of the design while creating a sense of delightful fantasy around the object's creation.
Brief
Create a video and stills that juxtapose the technical reality of the stool's design with a fictional, childish production narrative. While the object itself is a precise engineering feat, the visual storytelling places it in a surreal, candy-land factory setting. The goal is to treat the high-tech manufacturing process as if it were the magical making of a sweet treat, blending industrial accuracy with playful, childlike fantasy.
