Concept
The main video presents the "New Chair 01" as a timeless object through the passage of time and variation. We designed a continuous sequence where the chair rotates slowly while cycling through the four seasons in the background, simultaneously transitioning between its two available models and colorways. This approach provides a comprehensive overview of the design's versatility and material options within a single, fluid narrative.
Complementing this, the short sequences explore the concept of "a chair for every situation." These clips place the chair in a spectrum of contexts, ranging from the mundane and everyday to the surreal and absurd. By juxtaposing normal domestic scenarios with weird, imaginative situations, we highlight the chair's adaptability and playful character, proving it fits seamlessly into any environment, no matter how ordinary or extraordinary.
Brief
Commissioned by Klemens, the objective was to produce a series of creative visual sequences showcasing the "New Chair”. The project came with significant artistic freedom, granting us full autonomy over the conceptual direction, aesthetic approach, and presentation style. The task was not limited to standard product visualisation but encouraged an experimental exploration of how the chair could be showed and used.
